vessels & vases

Vessels are defined by the generally small opening that is smaller in diameter than the greatest diameter of the piece. Most vessels have a cover, lid, or finial. These are quite challenging to create, since the walls are thin, and the turner (me) cannot see the cut in progress! Vases are usually taller, making the internal cuts deeper and even more prone to chatter. Beautiful, though!
